Our History
tr10.com has grown from a small business to one of Newcastle Upon Tyne's leading web development, software and digital marketing companies. Each year new team members and customers join us as we expand and take on ever-more exciting projects.
Where it all began
Thinkroomten was started by Mike Thornton, who headed the hugely successful 'Freak' group of companies which supplied design & creative services, music and event management in Scotland. Freak's clients included: Scottish & Newcastle Retail, Universal Pictures, Channel Four Television, Harvey Nichols, EMI, Blue Note Records, Festival Inns and the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Mike also DJ'd professionally and operated one of the world's top 100 nightclubs.

Thinkroomten launched early in 2007 to provide creative support to new and growing businesses and was awarded ONE North East Approved Consultants Status. As a dynamic new start we strove to work with new technologies, and have fun making exciting web projects on the new frontier of the internet.
Growing with our customers
Iain Jackson joined tr10.com at the beginning of an exciting period of expansion which saw us relocate office twice to accommodate an ever growing team, and saw our client list grow to include both major regional players and national & international brands.

By enjoying what we do and having fun along the way we quickly grew to be one of the North East's premier website technology & software companies. "The only way to do great things is to love what you do".
Creativity & Technology
Now at Hoults Yard with a permanent team of six (soon to be seven) backed up by a small army of part-time specialists, our focus on creativity with technology has helped a number of our customers win awards for their websites. Our truly innovative systems continue to help our customers grow their businesses and reach new markets.
IOData Software
An asset management software package developed by tr10.com has, within a year of coming to market, been 'snapped-up' by most of the UK's major wholesale finance banks. The IOData system is now operated under licence from tr10 by our new software business, IOData Ltd and will continue to grow as a separate, 'sister-company' to tr10.
There a big things planned for IOData in the future, watch this space!
Onward and upward!
To meet the needs of our growing team and to provide suitable accommodation for meetings, group working and our famous 'team huddles' we've recently secured new and much larger office space in central Newcastle. Our Keel Row offices at The Watermark represent a huge leap forwards for tr10, with over four times the amount of production floorspace, additional meeting rooms and a generous reception area, with ample parking for visitors.
